Fieldtrip!
I know some people don't like to go on preschool fieldtrips, but I love it! This month we went to Black Island Farms and as always the kids have a blast. We went on the hayride and picked out pumpkins, and had a picnic, watched pig races, went on the slides, bounced in the pumpkin bounce house, rode the piggy train, and played in the corn box. I had a fun time spending the afternoon with the kids at the pumpkin patch. My kids had been counting down the days to go for two weeks. Another fun thing about fieldtrips is you get to meet the other kids in their class, and also their parents. I always hear about Luke and Kiera and we met their family and they are very nice. We will have to meet up at the park someday soon.
Another blessing for the Greens
We are so lucky to have three beautiful children. This past Sunday Aspen Erika was blessed. She is such a good and beautiful baby!
Green family outing
My mother in law planned a green family outting where she took all of the family to the Hogal Zoo. I knew it would be fun, but I didn't realize that it would be really fun, actually. It was fun to see all of the cousins run around with each other and run from animal to animal...and in some cases chasing animals. That poor peacock. We had a picnic lunch together, and the day was perfect. It was overcast but not rainy...I think we should make it an annual thing!

Trampoline Park
Our friends invited us to the trampoline park, and I thought it would be mostly for the kids. I was way wrong. Yes, it accomodated kids quite well, but it also was a ton of fun for the adults. I wish I had taken my camera. The floors were made out of trampolines, and they had tramps where you could jump off into a pool of foam stuff. Kevin did his first backflip there, and I finally got the courage to do a back handspring. I haven't done one of those in 15 years. Now I am a little sore...dang I am getting old.
Fits
This is what happens when you throw a fit and try to sit on the side of the tub really hard with anger to prove a point. (not me, the kids)
you fall in, hit your head on the side of the tub and break the shower curtain. I think the lesson was taught on its own without my help.
Field Trip!
Austin and Mercedes' preschool had their first preschool field trip a couple of weeks ago. They go on one a month, but this time we went to the firestation and the police station. We learned about stop drop and roll, we learned about 911, and many other things. They were able to climb in the ambulence and see in the cop car and the fire truck. My kids had a good time, and I loved to be there with them.

First Day of Preschool!
I was a little nervous about the first day of preschool because generally my kids dont do well with change or me leaving them at a strange house. However, we went to orientation the first day and I went with them all day. We say the school, we sang songs, talked aboout field trips, saw the playground. Then the first actual day came and to my suprise...they loved it! They look forward to it. Mercedes goes tuesday and thursdays, and Austin goes tuesdays thursdays and fridays. And if I am being honest I enjoy it to because it gives me two hours a day to enjoy just Aspen. They are only little once and they grow up so fast when they are this young that we can spend a little one on one time together. Its a win win. Then I pick them up and they tell me all about their day and the friends they made. There is a fieldtrip once a month, which I really like. This month is the fire and police station, and next month its Black Island Farms. So fun! I love preschool and so do they. Perfect!
While I was out...
Over the summer we took advantage of all the time we had just having a new baby and took a few vacations. The first destination we went to was Vernal. We had a green family reunion at Kevins sister's house in Vernal. We had fun, and the kids played so well with their cousins. We went to the dam in Vernal and went boating and played on the beach. After that we came back for a bbq and good family fun. The next weekend we went to Island Park and Yellowstone National Park for an Andersen family reunion. Sadly, we didn't see much wildlife...ducks and deer, but we had fun together as a family. Kevin had particular fun because he was able to slip away and flyfish for a good chunk of the time. Austin wanted to go so bad. When he gets old enough to go hunting and flyfishing with daddy it will be a happy day for the two of them.
The next week after that we hit BEAR LAKE! I particularly love that trip. We hit the lake with good friends and the whole weekend is nothing but bliss. I dont have to worry about the kids drowning because the shore is so shallow for so long. The kids made friends at the beach and went on sea shell searches. We took the boat out on the water and Kevin, Brandon, and Trisha went wake boarding. We had great food, great friends, great view and comforts....man. What a fun Trip. See the pictures below of all of these trips.
